First Aid Apps

Thank you to Gardiner’s Care Worker Suri who today let us know about a fantastic and free First Aid App.

The British Red Cross App allows you to learn simple first aid skills at a time to suit you and keep your knowledge refreshed.  It features simple skills for a range of first aid situations, with videos, interactive quizzes and step-by-step guides.

The information you need is all hosted on the app itself, which means no internet connection is needed, making it fast and easy to access.

Thank you also to our first aid trainer, Lynda Beddows from Total Eclipse Training.   Lynda shared that the St Johns Ambulance First Aid App is a similar very useful app to remind you what action to take if needed.

Consider, would you know what to do in a first aid emergency?  Only 5% of UK adults feel confident, knowledgeable and willing to help someone who is bleeding heavily, unresponsive and breathing, or is unresponsive and not breathing.  That means that only one in 20 people could confidently help in all three of these emergency scenarios.

Why not download one or both apps to help you learn the simple skills that could save a life.
