- Salary £24,000 – £26,000 per year depending upon experience

Nature of the job role:
- Provide high quality, safe care to clients in their own homes, recording and communicating any changes promptly.
- To act as a role model and mentor to colleagues.
- Work with clients to identify support needs and agree plans of care.
- Supporting to manage client care
- Monitoring quality of service and client satisfaction.
- Maintaining excellent communication with clients and relatives.
- Ensuring service is delivered according to the clients’ preferences within the constraints of the service we can provide.
- Supporting and influencing the development of a positive work environment where great care is celebrated and suggestions are encouraged.
- Being an ambassador for Gardiner’s, contributing fully and positively to the management of the service as a whole and our future direction.
Main duties:
- Visiting new clients for introductory meetings, assessments and care planning.
- Meeting existing clients to review care.
- Supporting to managing care packages as they change.
- Dealing with issues raised by Service Users and Care Workers.
- Safeguarding service users and following up all concerns that are raised.
- Ensuring all aspects of service user care and managing carers are properly documented.
- Booking carer workers to cover duties using the electronic booking software.
- Efficiently and effectively communicating to carer workers details of clients and their care.
- Observing carers’ practice when providing care to clients.
- Providing out of hours on call cover as part of a rota.
The successful applicant will likely be able to work some , if not all, weekdays before 9am – as well as occasional weekday evenings or weekends.
Applicants should preferably have:
- experience working as a senior care worker in domiciliary care, or other care setting.
- a full driving licence.
- a care qualification, minimum NVQ level 2 or equivalent or a willingness to work towards obtaining such qualifications.
